Independence Day Celebration – 15th August 2026
Sangam Laxmibai Junior College for Girls proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2026 with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by our respected Secretary, Dr. V. Sudha, in the presence of the esteemed dignitaries, officers, teaching staff and students.
The programme was graced by Dr. Ch. Sujatha Gangadhar, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Dr. K. Gracy Saila Sree, Director – HR & Academics, along with the officers of SLV. The gathering reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and pride in our nation.
Students and staff actively participated in the celebration, observing the occasion with discipline and respect. The programme served as a meaningful reminder of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibilities of every citizen towards the progress and development of our nation.
The celebration concluded on a patriotic note, inspiring everyone to uphold the values of freedom, unity, responsibility and service to the nation.

All the staff & students are hereby informed that
- On the occasion of Independence Day on 15thAugust the Flag will be hoisted at 09-00 am in the college premises.
- Programme Timing: 09.00 am to 10.00 am
- All are requested to attend the Flag hoisting.
- The 78th Independence Day was celebrated on August 15, 2024, in the college premises.
- Principal G. Srilatha hoisted the national flag, followed by patriotic songs and speeches in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
- Both staff and students actively participated, reflecting the spirit of freedom and unity.
